Since its creation, the mission of Fundecyt has been to act as a bridge between Company, University and Society, to establish communication channels and collaboration between these groups. In this way, Fundecyt hopes to contribute to the improvement of their performance environment, wealth creation and towards the integral development of the Autonomous Region of Extremadura. Despite its short existence, the activity of the Foundation is very intense and has always been distinguished by being in the forefront of technological innovation, heading the changes, past and present, that have transformed our region.

Predika

Is the small private training and educational centre for adults working in areas: new technologies, marketing, internet, e-commerce, business skills, foreign trade, professional language courses. We offer seminars, conferences, open classroom courses (short and long-term) and we have also experiences with distance education (especially with different types of videoconferences) and teleworking. We are also preparing the tailor-made courses according the company's request.



GAIN3

Gain3 is a Danish consulting company, with a close collaboration with Danish companies, trade unions and education centres on developing competences that is needed in a modern organisation. 

Our consultants have experiences as process consultants, teachers, researchers and project managers. 

We have developed concepts and projects for companies about:

  • Implementing new technology (eg. IT-systems)
  • Competence profiling
  • Educational planning and training
  • Change management when introducing management concept
  • Salary/wage diagnosis and design

We have made courses on:

  • Implementing ERP (It-systems) at the Shop floor
  • New wage systems for employees
  • Competence planning
  • Work environment
  • Accident protection 
  • Etc.

We have done these activities mainly in industry: the metal industries, wood(-working) industry and plastic industry. Our courses apply to employees and middle management, but involve general managers. 

We have close collaboration with DTU (Technical University of Denmark) on research activities related to the subjects mentioned above.


 

INNOVATE - CIMRU

Innovate is specialized in supporting businesses, organization and groups in the development of migration plans for the future. These plans are based in time and define where is the organization, where it wants to get and how to obtain it. The plans developped include visions, strategies, goals, performance indicators, targets to achieve and task lists with its corresponding terms. This approximation helps concentrate the efforts in the critical tasks within the organization for achieving the objectives. Our aim is simply to identify and integrate the best way to plan and implement effective change programs.



Sviluppo Liguria

Sviluppo Italia Liguria belongs to BIC network, and is a centre for the creation and development of innovative small and medium sized enterprises, supporting the economic development of the Liguria region at the same time. The main activities are:

  •  support creation of new businesses
  • give support and consultancy for the internationalization of the businesses
  • consultancy in issues related to business management, marketing and innovation· business training
  • business training
  • business promotion 
  • collaboration with territorial agents in issues related to the creation of businesses

Among its partners there are the Chamber of Commerce of Genoa, the Industrial Association of Genoa, numerous private enterprises and various banking institutions.



Business Development Friesland

Business Development Friesland (BDF) is a partner in project management, B2B development, internationalisation and partner search. BDF develops economic projects focussed on SMEs. Further more BDF tries to create market possibilities for SMEs by matching foreign companies with companies in the region of Friesland. BDF is a non-profit organisation which employs five people and outsources activities to free-lance employees.
Since the year 2002 BDF is active in the following fields: assistance to start-up ventures, individual consultancy on marketing, business planning and subsidies/grants, project development in co-operation with local and regional bodies, export matching -especially focused to export missions from abroad into Northern-Netherlands-, matchmaking in the elaborated networks in the region and involvement in several Leonardo and Interreg related projects concerning business development. 



Internet Society – Bulgaria

 
Internet Society Bulgaria is an independent, not-for-profit organization incorporated in Bulgaria in 1995. The
Internet Society of Bulgaria is a recognized chapter of the Internet Society, headquartered in Reston, Virginia,
USA and Geneva, Switzerland. It has been active in promoting the dissemination and use of the Internet, IST
and Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) in all aspects of civil society in Bulgaria.
Internet Society – Bulgaria is actively taking part in a wide number of initiatives related to
digital rights protection, personal data protection, internet governance. Internet Society – Bulgaria
contributed significantly for the adoption of the new Law for telecommunications. ISOC-Bulgaria is also an
accredited organization to the WSIS and participates actively in the work of the civil society, and the
governments.
ISOC Bulgaria ensured court protection of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and of Internet users against acts
and actions of the government, aimed at controlling the access to the Internet.
Internet Society – Bulgaria also helped with the organization of the International meeting on cyber security in
Central and Eastern Europe (www.cybersecuritycooperation.org) and was stated in materials in the
International Herald Tribune and New York Times on the deals of the Bulgarian government with Microsoft.
Internet Society – Bulgaria has a number of publications in the Bulgarian and international press covering
topics related to the information society.
ISOC Bulgaria is an active partner in initiatives for promotion of Information Society in Bulgaria, public
awareness and international cooperation and partnership building. In the same time, Internet Society -
Bulgaria became also the leader of the translation and localization of Creative Commons in Bulgarian, as well
as in forming the community of authors, using the licenses.
During the whole year 2004, ISOC-Bulgaria President and Chairman of the Board, Mr. Veni Markovski
published a number of articles, and was interviewed and quoted widely by the media. Among topics
covered were development of the Information Society in Bulgaria, Internet usage, development of
Information and Communications Technologies, and other relevant issues. ISOC-Bulgaria has been
invited to make a lot of presentations all over Bulgaria and worldwide. Many publications by ISOCBulgaria,
and about it, were published at www.portal.bg.
ISOC-Bulgaria performed also the Global Internet Policy Initiative (GIPI) for Bulgaria, contributing to
promoting legal and regulatory reforms that will foster Internet development, establishing working groups
with Internet industry, government, non-profits, etc.

The Regional Economic Chamber Ostrava has been working as an independent legal entity within the network of the Economic Chamber of the Czech Republic since 1993. It is non-profit organization. The Regional Economic Chamber Ostrava employs 6 people. The mission of the Chamber is to support the entrepreneurial activities, to push, protect and secure the needs of its members.

The Regional Economic Chamber Ostrava provides the entrepreneurs with complete entrepreneurial service in the area of:

Danski Industry - Confederation of Danish Industries

The Confederation of Danish Industries (Dansk Industri - DI) is a private organisation funded, owned and managed entirely by currently 6,100 companies within the manufacturing and service industries.DI's activities can be categorised as follows: 1) Policy advocacy - at local, national and international level. 2) Membership services - information, councelling and consulting. 3) Network relations - between members and with society at large.


 

Dansk Metal - Danish Metalworkers Union

The Danish Metalworkers Union representing 142.000 metal worker in Denmark. Have consultants working with technology and organisation issue. Education and training is also important issues.


General Worker´s Union
  

The trade union for unskilled workers. Representing 360.000 workers. 3F is involved in international trade union work. 3F is cooperating with the Danish and international trade union movement to set a new global agenda. 3F is represented with their training centre.

Ledernes Hovedorganisation - Danish Association of Managers and Executives
 

Ledernes Hovedorganisation has approx. 85.000 members. All members are managers and executives from the private as well as the public sector. The organisation offers services include counselling related to pay and employment terms, legal aid and professional training. The organisation is a member of The European Confederation of Executives and Managerial Staff. CEC represents 1,5 million managers and executives across Europe in the European Social Dialogue.


 

Cluster del Metalmecánica

If a company from a particular economic sector was considered to be an “atom”, then a Cluster would be a molecule of enterprises conceived to promote cooperation among its members.

In today’s market, enterprises cooperation is of capital importance for SMEs in particular. Asociación Cluster del Metalmecánico de Extremadura has been set up with this objective; its aim is to become the reference point for all companies in the Steel sector of the Spanish Region of Extremadura.

We currently have 185 member companies evenly distributed across the metal and mechanic sector. Corporación Empresarial de Extremadura (CEX)

The Corporación Empresarial de Extremadura, S.A. (CEX) is an investment institution, that operates as a venture capital fund, set up in 1992 by more than twenty outstanding Spanish private companies including regional and national financial institutions, electrical utilities, industrial and commercial companies, etc., along with the Local Government.




 

Advanced manufactruring technology Galway, National University of Ireland
 

AMT Ireland, a manufacturing consultancy group with four centers in Ireland. AMT Ireland is a division of Enterprise Ireland (the agency providing state support services to Irish industry) and its mission is to improve the competitiveness of Irish Industry. AMT offers specialist consultancy and training services to manufacturing companies. These services include analysis, planning, development and implementation in the following areas:

  • Business Information Systems including production and material planning and control systems.
  • Extended Enterprise Systems Simulation.
  • Computer Integrated Manufacturing.

These services also provide a channel through which research results can be disseminated to local industry. All staff members have broad industrial experience, and the group has worked with over 500 companies of all sizes since 1988.

ICT Center Friesland

The ICT Center Friesland has been founded by a Public Private Consortium consisting of the City of Leeuwarden and the Province of Friesland. ICT Center Friesland has been situated in the building named Crystalic.

The mission of the ICT Center Friesland is:

  1. To improve the economic structure of the Province of Friesland by stimulating developments in the ICT sector.
  2. To offer renting and support facilities to at least twenty start-up and early stage companies.
  3. To facilitate a project support office in order to stimulate various projects concerning the ICT sector in the Province of Friesland

To support the Provincial and Local Government with the implementation of long-term strategy on the topics related to start-ups, IT-supported innovation and job creation.



Technologie Centrum Noord Nederland

The Centre of Technology for the North of the Netherlands (TCNN) was founded in order to support Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) from the north with technological, business administrative and economical questions and issues. To achieve this objective, TCNN makes use of knowledge present in the north, especially by cooperating with several universities.

Ever since 2004, TCNN has implemented over 600 individual company and memorandum projects. These projects have gained considerable results. Over 135 projects realised new or improved products, 65 projects introduced new or improved business processes and over 40 projects have led to cost reduction.
 
The investments and the extra or preserved turnover based on the by TCNN executed projects, amounts over €150 million. Over 1500 positions were created and maintained, including at least 500 on a higher professional educational level. In the northern SMEs, productivity has increased as a result of the appreciation arisen by using knowledge.

South East of England Development Agency (SEEDA)

SEEDA is the Government funded agency set up in 1999 responsible for the economic and social development of the South East of England - the driving force of the UK's economy.

The economy of the region is the 22nd largest in the world, bigger than several countries including Denmark, Austria, Sweden, South Africa, Singapore and Greece. As home to over eight million people, it is the largest region in the UK - bigger than Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland combined, and covers the counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey and East and West Sussex.

SEEDA's aim is to create a prosperous, dynamic and inspirational region by helping businesses compete more effectively, training a highly skilled workforce, supporting and enabling our communities, while safeguarding our natural resources and cherishing our rich cultural heritage.

SEEDA aims to be a catalyst for change within the South East, working with partner organisations- businesses, education at all levels, local authorities, Government agencies, voluntary and community organisations and many others - to produce clearly recognisable results.

We also have funds from Government to enable us to invest directly in a range of economic and social development programmes, and are in a position to help secure European Union and private sector investment for the region. Accountable to Government, SEEDA is a business led organisation, governed by a Board whose Members have wide-ranging experience in industry and commerce, local government, education, trade unionism and voluntary service.
Key achievements 1999 - 2004
Among SEEDA's major achievements are:

  • Setting up 15 Enterprise Hubs - business incubation establishments - at key locations throughout the South East, providing workspace and support for over 520 start-up high-tech companies;
  • Enabling more than 350 new businesses to be created;
  • Establishing a Regional Venture Capital Fund to help business start-ups gain ready access to sources of finance and financial advice;
  • Creating or safeguarding over 30,000 jobs, of which almost 8,000 came through our successes in attracting 124 companies from overseas;
  • Rolling out our Broadband programme, in partnership with the major telecommunications companies, to link up businesses and homes - especially those in remote areas - to the Internet;
  • Drawing up a Basic Skills Strategy for the region to raise levels of literacy and numeracy - over one million people in the South East lack even the most basic reading, writing and numeracy skills;
  • Creating 125,000 learning opportunities which have all been filled;
  • Helping small companies get the maximum benefit from information and communications technology and ensuring that more firms are able to train their managers and start in e-skills;
  • Investing over £500 million in urban and rural regeneration projects - breathing new life into neglected or derelict areas through job creation and environmental improvements;
  • Restoring more than 280 hectares of brownfield land (land that has been used before) to a reusable condition. 



Parco Scientifico Tecnologico della Liguria (PSTL)

PSTL promotes and realises initiatives for the coordination of research, innovation and training activities in Liguria. The objective is to encourage the technology transfer within the productive system exploiting the scientific and technological resources of the region and the development of new entrepreneurial initiatives.
